The Mechanics of Deduction and Induction

At its core, the nature of logical reasoning functions through two primary methods: deduction and induction. Deductive reasoning starts with a general rule and applies it to a specific case. Inductive reasoning works in the opposite direction by using specific observations to form a general conclusion.
