Anthropology, meanwhile, is the study of human beings, their cultures, and their development over time. Together, these two disciplines act as partners, providing a complete picture of how societies grow, change, and survive across the centuries.

Traditionally, the primary difference between these fields was the method of research. Historians spend much of their time in archives, analyzing letters, government documents, and newspapers to reconstruct a timeline of events. Anthropologists often use fieldwork, which involves living within a community to observe its traditions and social structures firsthand. However, the relationship between anthropology and history has evolved so that these methods now overlap.
