The Paradox of the Infinite To-Do List

Time is the only truly non-renewable resource available to a student. While money can be earned and energy can be restored through rest, a second spent is gone forever. For much of my early academic career, I viewed time management as a mechanical process: a simple matter of filling a calendar with boxes and checking them off. I operated under the assumption that if I could just find the right app or the perfect planner, I would finally achieve a state of total efficiency. However, my journey through higher education has revealed that time management is less about managing the clock and more about managing the self. It is a psychological battle against procrastination, a philosophical inquiry into one’s priorities, and a delicate balance between rigorous discipline and necessary rest.
