While many contemporary societies have made significant strides in dismantling overt forms of prejudice, racism remains a pervasive and deeply embedded force within modern social structures. The prevailing misconception that racism is limited to individual acts of bigotry or personal hatred obscures the more dangerous reality: racism is a systemic phenomenon. It is woven into the fabric of legal, economic, and educational institutions, creating a self perpetuating cycle of disadvantage for marginalized groups. To achieve true equity, society must shift its focus from correcting individual attitudes to dismantling the structural barriers that continue to produce disparate outcomes based on race.
