The Evolution of a Concept

For much of my early life, success was a destination with a clearly marked map. Like many students, I viewed it as a series of checkpoints: high grades, admission to a prestigious university, and eventually, a high-paying career. This linear progression is the standard narrative sold by educational systems and media alike. It suggests that success is a tangible trophy waiting at the end of a long race.
